None of the above works with the new Microsoft MFA Requirements
The suggested plugin is for SSO login to the Joomla site using AzureAD credentials.
Not Sending emails.
Solution is:
Ensure that Authenticated SMTP and OWA is allowed for the account in the M365 portal.
SIGNIN to OWA with the user account (website@... perhaps?) Authenticate with whatever MFA has been configured for your company.
go to: https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info in a new tab
add an "App Password"
In Joomla Global Configuration:
Mailer - SMTP
Server - SMTP.OFFICE365.COM
Port - 587
Security - STARTTLS
From Email Address - website@......
SMTP Username - website@......
SMTP Password - APPPASSWORD created in above step
SAVE the config, then send a test email
